Vintage Gold Tone Liz Claiborne Necklace with Pearls. Whispering Angel Medal 1914- 1919 Necklace

Whispering Angel, also known as Saint Michael Peace Angel medallion awarded after the Great War of Civilization during 1914-1919. The medal is inscribed on the edge with the name W. Hobson R.A. The medal was awarded to members of the Allied Forces as a symbol of peace after WW1. The Whispering Angel is known throughout the world as a universal symbol of peace.
I purchased the chain and the medal from two different vintage vendors. I deconstructed the chain and added the freshwater baroque pearls by wire wrapping with god fill wire. The chain measures 34 inches and can be worn long or doubled, making this piece a one of a kind hand assembled necklace. The medal is an original piece & not a copy. The hook closure is marked LCI for Liz Claiborne Inc. these chains are from the 80s and 90s. The hook closure has slightly lost some finish but, is original, see photos. The medal hangs 2” from the chain. The Saint Michael is the patron Saint of police officers, soldiers, doctors and first responders.

Put on jewelry after lotions and perfumes are dry on the skin. Do not wear this treasure while bathing, swimming, or sleeping. Do not use chemicals on this special piece of jewelry. To clean your treasure, use the soft cleaning cloth enclosed. Keep your treasure in the pouch it came in.

I will ship your new treasure in a gift box and then in a USPS Priority Insured box, including insurance for the full purchase price. A tracking number is provided.
