Antique Sterling Silver Monogram Locket. Vintage DTR Apitate Turquoise 3 Strand

Elegant sterling silver monogram locket hangs on a triple strands of apitate gemstone chips accented with turquoise.
The locket is from the 1900s. The vintage aquamarine and turquoise necklace is a vintage piece from Jay King DTR.
The stones catch the light with a gentle sparkle, their organic shapes giving the piece a natural, almost sea-glass-like quality. Interspersed throughout are small turquoise nuggets that add contrast and a pop of vibrant blue-green.
The strands are finished with polished sterling silver cone caps with a toggle clasp. Suspended from the clasp is a substantial oval sterling silver locket with a smooth, satin finish. The front is engraved with an elegant, monogram appearing to be the initials “M B” in a classic script that gives the piece a sense of history and personal story.
I have changed the construction of the necklace by removing the original closure and I have replaced it with a toggle clasp to allow the two sterling silver cones to be in the front and I suspended the locket from the toogle closure.
The design balances softness and structure: airy, textural gemstones paired with the weight and presence of the sterling silver locket. It feels like a modern heirloom—versatile enough for everyday wear, yet distinctive enough to be a statement piece.
The necklace measures 21.25 inches. The locket measures 45mm in length and 35mm wide and opens and closes securely. The locket is marked sterling on the inside of the two picture frames
